The Comparison of the confrontaion of Eve with Satan, Genises 3:1-6
And that of Jesus's Confrontation with Satan Luke 4:1-13 and Matthew 4:1-11
9.22021
Here we have in Luke 4:1-13 Jeus being confronted and tempted by Satan when He Jesus was very hungry and thereby being very vunerable, having fasted for 40 days in the wilderness-desert. Rejected all Satans requests of whhom
Satan quoted scripture from the OT and in response Jesus quoted from scripture from the OT too rejecting Satans suggestions etc. as mentioned this encounter with Satan was in area that was created by or through the the flood due to the enormity of the
disobedience, violence and gross sin as mentined in Gen 6:6-7
Genesis 6:6-7
Authorized (King James) Version
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
And Eves confrontation with Satan in a beautifuul garden called Eden by Father God. Genesis 1-3. while alone and may have been quite far or distant from Adam, thereby with out Adam's protection rendering Eve vunerable (and Satan knew this) and possibly hungry too, as was looking at the the very tree that Father God had explicitly told Adam not to eat of that particular tree and Adam would have past past that explicit request to Eve and possibly from what is recorded a fence to add further protection as Eve adds more than what God requested or told Adam Genesis 2:17,3:3
Genesis 2:17
Authorized (King James) Version
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.and Genesis 3:3
Authorized (King James)
Version
3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Satan seeing the way Eve was possibly looking at the tree overrode God's directive and perhap Adam a bit, in not to eat of that particular tree especially Father God and perhaps the way Satan mentioned it as recored in Gen.3:3. compelled Eve to eat of the fruit of that particualr tree and then compeeled and encouraged Adam to eat the fruit given of Eve and in doing so not only rendered them naked before Father God and Jesus and between themselves but also by being expelled from the Garden to protect them from eating from the tree of life too, that would have led them to live for ever in that state of possibly spiritual nakedness (that is a seperation from Father God ).
Here we have a sitution where a woman alone that is Eve who is possibly hungry, in a beautiful garden, who is not ony tempted by Satan to disobey but implements that disobedience and encourages and compels Adam to disobey too, that cost them not only their relationship with Father God through His son Jesus and ultemately betweeen themselves Gen 3:16, (Comapare John3:16. came to mind as of writing this. Where It says that Father God wants none to perish). and others between others too. Cain and Abel come to mind too. Genesis 4:8. as have reason to believe that He Jesus was whom Adam and Eve were conversing with, and later covered their nakedness through the first sacrifice of sin, as a consequence we see Jesus as the first example of Jesus being the first High Priest, in sacrificing the lamb ( as one would perhaps persume it would have bene a lamb, see John 1:36 ) to cover the sins of both Adam and Eve and later, through Moses through whom Father God instituted the office of he High Priest (who once a year offered the shed blood of a first born lamb with out blemish as an atonement for the all the people of the nation of Israel, first while travelling through the desert on their way to the Promised land ( The Exodus as recorded in Exodus through to Deuteronomy ) in a tabernacle covered by skins of various animals etc. and then later in a temple in Jerusalem ) and later as recorded in the Gospels, Jesus Himself volunarily offering Himself as a sacrifice on behhalf of all peoples through out all the world and for those who would come after too John 3:16.
Ref : Jesus Being Called the Lamb of God by John the Baptist when John sees Jesus waking presumably towards him tobe baptised by John who also was His Jesus cousin. John 1:36
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
And Luke 1:35
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
And
Luke 1:36
King James Version
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
Note
Compare Genesis 3:16 with John 3:16.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee where as before Adam and Eve were Helpmeets Genesis 2:20
Genesis 2:20
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
With
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In Genesis 3:16 one reads that as a consequence of Adam and Eve's especialy Adams disobediance that it cost their relationship with Father God through His son Jesus and between themselves and others to, Cain and Able come to mind.
Genesis 4:8
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
And
In John 3:16 we have Father God wanting to restore the relationship btween Himself and and those of the whole world through accepting His son Jesus and His sacrifice of Himself on the cross at Calvery and in acceptng that the blood shed thereby Jesus as a covering for ones sins, whereby the relationship broken through the disobedience of Adam in paricualar as mentioned in Genesis 3 being restored between Father God His son Jesus, husband and wife and others too between one another
Then we have Jesus in the wilderness Luke 4:1 and Matthew 4:1 (thewilderness caused by the flood through gross disobedience Genesis & possibly among other things ) having fasted for 40 days and was very hungry and alone when He Jesus was confronted by satan who suggested at first to take up the stones around them and turn them into bread, and Jesus quoting scripture as a response "That man should not live by bread alone but by every word of God " Deuteronomy 8:3.
Satan as putting as a question to Eve when in the garden what God has said "Hath God said eat of the fruit of every tree in the garden Gen 3:1.
2.3.2028
Then we have in Matthew 4 verese 5 satan taking Jesus to a high pinicile on the Temple in Jerusalem
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Matthew 4:5-7
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Athors quoted from Psalm 91:11-12. ( verse12 the angels shall bear thee up lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. :[Compare genesis 3:6 Eve takes of the fruit and finds i it good to eat there by offers it to Adam and in doing so along with Eve were renderd naked before God ]{ and in some respects committed spiritual })
Psalm 91:11-12:-
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
The angels shall bear thee up.
Then Jesus responds by Quoting Scripture too Deuteronmy 6:16
Deuteronomy 6:16
King James Version
16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God,
Father God -Jesus in His infinite mercy through the giving of his life on the cross at Calvery for our redemption and salvation through forgiving and cleansing of our sins through the blood and water that was poured seperately out of Jesus side as a consequence of a soldier piercing Jesus side after He had died and three days later was resurrected (and given a new body and given time returned back to His Father in Heaven) .
So that throug His resurrection as recorded in the Gospels, and High Priest slaughterded a lamb as a sacrifice on behalf of Adam and Eve, this being the first mention of the sacrificial giving for the forgiveness of sins. Then Father God wasjed the skin of the lamb and offerd ot Adam and Eve as covering for their nakedness. Whereby forgiving and cleasing them of their sin through the shedding of the blood of the lamb, and the washing a curing of the skin with water so that t he skin would be fit to be worn by Adam and Eve for a covering of their nakedness caused by their disobedience as mentioned above.
This being the first instance of water being used to cleanse and cure the skins of the lamb ( for the lamb was slaughtered and its blood shed ) so as to be fit to be worn to cover Adam and Eve of their nakedness, where by forgiving and indirectly cleansing Adam and Eve of their sin. Genesis 3:21.
Genesis 3:21
King James Version
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
more to add sometime to this passage
Then Satan took Jesus to a high mountain and offerd to Jesus all that Jesus could see if Jesus wouldl bow down and worship Satan (comes to mind to The story of Esau and Jacob annd the mess of pottage as recorded Genesis 25:29-34. that cost Jacobs birthright as Jacob was very hungry after having been hnting therefore very vunerable of which Easau too advantage ). Where as Jesus though being hungry was very vunerable too and the enemy tried to take advantage bt Jesus even being hungry stayed focus on who the enemy was and who he Jesus was in relation to satan, and Jesus responded by telling satan That thou shalt worshiship the Lord thy God Deuteronomy 6:13. for satan was a being created by Father God.
Compare :-Jesus telling Adam re not to eat of the fuit of a paticular tree in the Garden and and Adam my have added a fence or built a imaginary fence when telling Eve as Eve says to satan to to touch the tree lest one dies Genesis 3:3. (Jews in Jesus time and even today have buit fences around the laws and commandments of Moses Matthew 15:1-9; Mark 7:1-15.
Satan then mentions to Eve that wouldnt die but sahl be like Gods knowinfg good and evil Ggenesis 3:45. ( Jesus possibly meant spiritually dying {that is being seperated from Father God} and ultimately physically dying of which both happend the first imediately when Adam and perhaps Eve first when ate of the fruit Genesis 3:7 and due the the temptaion, lies and deception of Satan ate of the fruit and found it was good (as all such temptaions can appear to be good but do come at a costly price ) and offerd it to her husband Adam Genesis 3:6. of whhich the spiritual and phyhsical death mentioned above was the pout come in they became aware of their nakedness before one another and a bkit later Father God - Jesus, there by spiritually died as also one of the consequences of Adams disobedience before accepting Jesus lso those who turn away from Father God - Jesus for various reasons there relationship with Father God through His son Jesus those who have hardened their hearts there is no way back unless such forgiveness as others who and those who have not hardened their hearts and willing to turn back etc.
so there is a way back providing they have not hardened their hearts towards Father God and leaves ones practices etc. and Father God through His son Jesus provides one of protecting one from hardenting their heart.
Compare :- Jesus all that he was being offered, all that He was shown if He Jesus bowed down and worshipped satan. Luke 4:5, Matthew 4:8; and Jesus responds by saying one must worship the Lord your God. Deuteronmy 6:5; 13; 16; Matthew 4:6.10; Luke 4:8.
As Jesus died on the cross at Calvery when the blood and water flowed seperately from Jesus side having been pierced by the Roman Centurian's spear after he Jesus died, as recored in the Gospels and Psalm 22. compare Isaiah 18;53; and Psallm 51:7.
Three days later was resurrected and seen by many many people after His Jesus resurrection and before acending back to His Father in heaven as recorded in Acts 1:9, and in doing so through Father God's son Jesus Father God forgives cleanses and resurrects the spiritually dead to a new life through the giving of the Holy Spirit giving one a new life given of the Holy Spirit of which was accomplished some 40 days after Jesus ascension as recorded in Acts 2:1-4. and clothes one in the robes of rightousness of His son Jesus in His Father God's infinite mercy through giving the gift of the Holy Spirit in his His son Jesus in accepting the gift of the Holy Spirit to be with Father God and His son for all eternity, restoring all that was lost ( taken) through Eve listening and accepting the lies and deception of Satan in the garden of Eden ate of the fruit of the tree that Father God - Jesus had requested Adam (and by extention as must have told Eve to not to eat the fruit of a particular tree; Genesis 1:17), and compelled or encouraged Adam to eat of the fruit too and by doing so spiritually died as they became aware of their nakedness before one and another and before Father God - Jesus when Father God - Jesus saught them out. Genesis 3:8.
One sees something of the restoration in Jesus being confronted by Satan in the the wilderness when He, Jesus was very vunerable due to beinng hungry, having fasted for 40 days in that place. ( the wilderness). Compare Genesis 3:1-9, especaily verses 1-6; 7; Luke 4:1-3 and also Matthew 4:1-2. Jesus also after refuting the lies and deception of Satan was ministerd to by the angels, Matthew 4:11. of which through the ministry of the angels strengthened Jesus for the ministry and the ultimate sacrifice that lay ahead and whicjh would be on the worlds behalf, John 3:16. through the shedding of the blood and water on the cross on - at Calvery, redeemed having been forgiven and cleansed of ones sins and resurrected and reconciled and restored to a new life in Jesus given of the Holy Spirit a little while later (40 days after the ascension of Jesus which was also 40 days after His Jesus resurection) to a new life in accepting Jesus as ones sacrifice that blesses one another and those close and dear to one's heart and further afield and having been restored for eternity, and in a given time living that new life in a new world created by Father God - Jesus Genesis 1:1.compare John 1-3.
The first with a very beautful garden which will be completey destroyed in Father Gods time due to mans gross or the enormity of mans sin etc. along with those who have refused to accept Jesus and His sacrifice for their sins etc. as recorded in 2 Peter 3:5-7., and those who have accepted Jesus and His sacrifice etc. will live a new life in Him and be with Jesus in a brand new world for all eternity.
Thereby Father God creating a new world with a new Jerusalem at the centre.
For all who love Jesus will with Him there for all eternity.
Compare Genesis 1-2;6-7; Isaiah 66:22-23, The book of R Revelation 22:1-5.
Therefore not only was the world created by and for Jesus, but was due to mans gross sin etc. the earth was destroyed (There was a partial destruction of the earth due to the enormity of mans sin as recoded in Genesis 6:1-8:22), and a new heaven and earth will be created with a new Jeruslem at the heart (centre).
Compare Genesis 1:2; Isaiah 46:22-23; John 1:1-3;and the Book of revelatoion 22:1-5.
Also compare the Garden Father God - Jesus created as recorded in Geneis 2:8. Where Eve was confronted and tempted by Satan in the form of a serpent and was was compelled to eat of the fruit of which they offered and possibily compelled or encouraged Adam to eat of the fruit that rendered them naked before one another and Father God- Jesus that led to their eviction from the Garden that was then guarded by Cheribims and a flaming sword so as Adam and eve could not re enter or any one else later. Genesis 3:24. Also led given time to the enormity of mans sinand disobedience etc. a partial distruction fo the earht and it inhabtants apart form Noah and his family and a select number and specicies of anamils etc. Genesis 6:17-19.
With Jesus in the wilderness ( possibly caused by the partial distruction of the known world then by a flood due to the enormity of mans sin etc. as recorded in Genesis 6:17. and Father God's infinite mercy as recorded in verse 18-22). confronted by Satan when Jesus was very vunerable due to being hungry, having fasted for 40 days there, and yet even in his vunerablity refuted the lies and deceptions etc. of Satan through quoting the Scriptures in the OT. Mmatthew 4:1-10 and Luke 4:1-11.
Therefore we have Eve confronted by Satan in a beautiful Garden who listens the enemy and takes of the fruit that Father God - Jesus comannded and Adam and by extention Eve not to eatand gives to Adam that in time leads to a partial distruction of the earth as recorded in Genesis 6:17.
Then you have Jesus confronted by Satan in a willderness that possibky was ccaused by the partial flood as recorded in Genesis 6:17, and refuses to accept the offers of Satan and in doing so quotes the Scriptures form the OT to back up Jesus's descions in rejecting and not to accepting the enemies suggestions and offers, and in doing given time man is restored when accepting Jesus and His sacrifice etc. and a new earth is created for those who accepted Jesus etc. with lwill live for ever there.
Here We have Eve in a beautful Garden created by Father God - Jesus and confronted by Satan as mentioned above, and we have Jesus in a wilderness possibly caused by a partial flood as consequence of Adam accepting the fruit that Eve possibly compelled or encouraged Adam to eat. and confronted by Satan as mentioned above.
Two very contrasting envirements but both visited by the enemy with the enemies intent to take from Adam in the garden the authority that Father God - Jesus had given him and to take from Jesus in the wilderness His Jesus kingship, given of Father God, in the Wilderness of which Jesus rejected.
Genesis 3:1. compared with Matthew 4:1, and Luke 1:5-8.
